Case Studies in One Health - ITraP Winter School 2017
Last week was the final NSERC-CREATE funded ITraP (Integrated Training Program in Infectious Disease, Food Safety and Public Policy) winter school for graduate students. The workshop was a collaborative effort between faculty at the University of Saskatchewan and GADVASU (Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University) in Ludhiana, India where the meeting was held. It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to attend my first winter school, see some interesting talks

Zoonotic Risks and Therapy Dogs
It was a pleasure to speak at a community discussion about the benefits (and some risks) associated with animal assisted interventions last Friday at Station 20 West. Thanks so much to Dr. Colleen Dell for the opportunity to engage with the public and dispel (or address?) some myths about the role of dogs in the epidemiology of human infections. To learn more about this event, and the other speakers check out Colleen's website. #zoonoses #OneHealth #canine #Staphylococcuspseu
