The Emergence of Superbugs in Canine Urine
Thanks to the support of Genome Prairie, Joe had the opportunity to attend the Plant and Animal Genome conference in sunny San Diego. It was a pleasure to be invited to present some of Rachel Courtice’s (Rubin lab grad student) work in an abstract entitled “the emergence of broad spectrum β-lactamases in E. coli from canine urinary tract infections in Western Canada”. This work was funded by Zoetis Animal Health and made possible by the provision of isolates from Prairie Diagnostic Services.
